2023-08-21 17:47:19 +0000 UTCAs someone who's attended a shitload of concerts since the 60s, The best one was Elton John in Madison Square Garden a few years ago. We were sitting behind the band, directly over Elton's shoulder so we could see his hands on the keybaords with our own eyes, not on a video screen. He did a half hour version of Rocket Man, but the most amazing thing, because we were behind the stage, was seeing the cheering, sold-out crowd from the band's point of view - closest I'll ever get to being a rock god!
