The first two things that come to mind are Discovery Zone, and Kellogg's Twists fruit bars.

Years ago they used to have little stands down in the NYC subways that sold fresh made soft pretzels. There were small vending machines that took pennies and dispensed little two packs of Chiclets. There were still Automats in the city back then. Practically every corner in Manhatten had a little lunch counter on it that also served those cheeseburgers. Some candy stores had lunch counters too. And that's also where I'd buy my comic books. My sister read the Millie The Model comics. By the way, even Jim Steranko, who single handedly created the Nick Fury and SHIELD as we know them today, also did romance comics.

Not in the cabinet next to the refrigerator like they were when I was a kid. Dad loved to have a Moon Pie with his fruit cocktail. :)

Moon Pies are still readily available.

Moon pies. Real Mountain Dew before Pepsi changed it. Real Barq's (Not a cola, not a root beer, Barq's is different!) before Coke decided, yes, it was a root beer. Big, long, green and yellow watermelons. Hot nut counters in department stores. Cheeseburgers sold at drugstore lunch counters where the cheese wasn't just melted, it was brown and crisp at the edges. Shoes with bows on top and at the heels. Hopscotch drawn on the sidewalk with a crumbly white rock. Getting to eat the cherries out of the fruit cocktail because daddy would eat all the yucky bits of peaches. Big navel oranges that were easy to peel and so big you had to get another kid to help you eat them. Comic books about Millie and Chili who had such fabulous clothes. Romance comics drawn by Jack Kirby and Frank Frazetta. Piles of old newspaper Spirit sections.
