Do you like listening to podcasts? Want to help me (Cecil) get a new project off the ground? I’m looking for a small group of listeners to be the test audience for an upcoming podcast.
This show is aimed at connecting with the skeptic community and reaching people who might need a little help understanding skepticism better. If you know someone—like a young, disaffected guy who might lean toward Rogan-style content—your insights would be especially helpful.

2024-12-18 07:44:44 +0000 UTCI don’t fit the test audience demographic, but I think Rational Wiki is a resource that would appeal to young folks looking for deep information presenting an irreverent and entertaining way. You could use it as inspiration and a resource for your new show. I think young people like to feel like they are getting something different from a cool and edgy resource. It’s a good alternative to the intellectual dark web stuff.

Also, my kiddo is a freshman in high school and deals with guys spouting the Rogan/MAGA/toxic crap all the time, so they volunteer as well. I would love them to have as many tools to help intellectually combat the nonsense as possible. (Kiddo listens to you guys and all of the PiaT shows already and love them all!)

I work hard to help my students be more scientifically literate and skeptical, and it seems like it works within class boundaries, but I wonder how much they really take with them out into the world. She is very switched on (2-time QED attendee, not to brag!) But she goes to school with boys of the same age. She has a step-brother on her mum's side that has started to lean towards Andrew Tate and encounters some of this stuff at school. I know the demographic I am talking about is younger than your target, but I am always interested in how best to kill this at the root, before it has a chance to grow. I'd be very interested in listening and seeing how it could help me help her to help these boys/young men from falling down the rabbit-hole.
