Adin Ross sniffed Andrew Tate's chair. Fucking gross and WEIRD. Which tracks.

I've been trying to quantify why I'm feeling somewhat hopeful for the first time in over a decade. For quite some time, Republicans have shaped the national narrative. It didn't matter if their narrative was TRUE...democrats have always had to play defense. Acting like whatever the right wing put forth was accurate. While not fully equitable yet, it definitely feels like media has started to reject the notion that right wing talking points are the de facto "correct" framing of current events. As a lifelong cynic, it's kinda refreshing to see. I'd love for democrats to be able to go on the offensive for a change.

"Make no mistake-- I don't think any of these people care about their politics. I think what they care about is the bottom line that they're able to make money off of this." While that seems to be true, on a surface level, you need to ask yourself-- what would they do if they had the power they are seeking? Would they pass the legislation? Would they enact policy derived from their bigotry? Overwhelmingly, yes. OVERWHELMINGLY yes. We see this time and time again. And it is power that they are always asking for. It doesn't matter that they're ALSO in it for the money. They are in it for the hate, because they are hateful people. They are cynical, but they don't get to use that cynicism as a cover. And I don't think you meant to do that. I think you meant to highlight their grift. That they are, at their core, dishonest people. The problem is that they are honest about their hate. Because they follow through. Every time we give them power. It doesn't matter that Joe Rogan isn't a politician. He's behaving like a lobbyist. That's still power-seeking behaviour. He is dictating policy from the throne of his podcast seat. That's fucking terrifying.

Republicans can’t land a hit on Harris or Walz and they’re so fragile that something as milquetoast as being called weird makes them freak out on live television. I haven’t felt this excited about an election since 2015. It feels amazing to remember that Trump isn’t inevitable.
