Kaitlin Collins ,who did the interview, had a follow-up where she stated that they couldn’t find any instances of what Ron Johnson was saying. Shocker, I know but still funny. Dude is a human booger so any opportunity for him to get called out on his bullshit is worth it.

2023-12-18 03:43:17 +0000 UTCYeah, the subscription software has become absolutely freaking ludicrous. My wife was looking for a god-damned CALCULATOR app for my 6 year-old's iPad. It was damned near impossible to find anything that didn't come with a per-month fee. That's why I don't install pretty much anything on my phone, except for things like news apps and the like. Patreon. Podcast and music apps. YouTube. Chrome. Anything that doesn't come with my phone, which I have to go to the app store and search for a particular kind of app ... no thanks. I'm good. I don't need another subscription. I do a lot of gaming. I avoid half of the games out there, which I would otherwise love to play, because as soon as I see anything about in-game purchases, I'm out. And if a game is free-to-play, fuck that. The only multiplayer game I play is Mechwarrior Online. They openly sell new mechs for cash, on the website and Steam. When they create a new mech chassis or variant, they sell it for cash, at first. Eventually, those mechs switch to premium currency, then in-game currency. The whole shift is over a year or so. Everyone knows that if you want to support the game, you should occasionally get a new mech or something. But if not, you aren't at a disadvantage. The new mechs are different but balanced with the other content. There's zero pay-to-win.
