Ever see the "Blacksad" French graphic novels set in a 1940's-style film noir world...and populated by anthro animals? In the volume "Arctic Nation," white-furred animals consider themselves superior to others of darker hues, and private eye John Blacksad (a black cat) gets caught up in their doings. (Beautiful stuff, the artwork is detailed and breathtaking, totally captures the ambience of the time & place.)
