Version 0.3.2 of Sanctuary in Time is about to go live! These updates are coming to the Patron Edition first, and then 30 days later they'll be coming to the Standard (Free) Edition as well.

Sanctuary in Time is a text-based, adult management game with a sci-fi twist! Fill the halls of your citadel with beautiful female followers rescued from throughout history, add structures, upgrade them, and survive the forces that killed your father!

Save files from previous versions of the game should be compatible w/ this version. See installation instructions on the File Download page for details on how to transfer save files.

• Thank you to user To&Fro for their indepth gameplay feedback posted on the Fenoxo forums. Part of their feedback helped inspire a feature update in this release.

New Feature: Voyeurism! With the introduction of idle activities for followers, you can now peek in on their personal, day-to-day goings and comings in a more revealing manner. A new button is now available on follower filecards, which states “[follower] is currently...”, and if you click on it, you’ll get a voyeur’s eye view of what they’re up to. These are small narrative events with selectable choices, which focus on the private activities of followers when they’re not offworld.

Only one such activity can be explored per follower, per turn, and advancing the turn will refresh those activities. Additionally, if a follower has no idle activity to explore, the button on their filecard will instead be disabled and simply read “[follower] is otherwise occupied....”

In this update, five new idle activities are included that most followers can be found performing. In future updates, I plan to include more variety of activities as well as activities exclusive to certain duty assignments.

• In the restroom. Watch a follower (via surveillance) who is currently in the restroom. Includes full nudity, even on non-sexual outcomes, and features various randomized elements, such as the type of activity they’re performing.
• Eating. Watch a hungry follower (via surveillance) looking for food, finding it, and then going off to a part of the settlement to eat their meal. Mostly non-sexual, but still interesting to watch, with multiple randomized elements, and the potential for embarrassing outcomes.
• Lying awake in bed. Watch a follower (via surveillance) who is lying awake in bed. She may drift off to sleep without incident, or she may decide to treat herself to a spot of self-pleasure. Includes multiple randomized elements, such as the nature of her activities and the intensity of them.
• Sleeping soundly. Watch a follower (via surveillance) who is sleeping soundly in bed. You may find her tossing and turning in response to a dream, the nature of which you can probably disern from her actions. Includes multiple randomized elements such as the type of dream she may have, and the amount of nudity you may see as she moves about.
• Showering. Watch a follower (in person!) who is washing up in the communal showers, but not aware that you’ve entered. Includes multiple randomized elements such as the area of her body she’s focused on cleaning, and the state you find her in upon entering. Additionally, If her Devotion is high enough (‘Very Trusting’ or higher), you get the option to remain undetected or join her.

Feature Update: Orgasms Overhaul! (Inspired in part by feedback from user To&Fro on the Fenoxo forums.) The underlying mechanics for how orgasms in the game work have been significantly updated (for both player & follower orgasms). It’s my hope that these changes will make sexual encounters feel more engaging & purposeful, as well as give the player a way to speed-up the unlocking of devotion-based options for their followers.

• A follower’s devotion is now slightly increased each time the player brings them to orgasm.
• Followers now have a limit on the number of orgasms they can experience per turn at the hands of the player. And when they reach that limit, instead of climaxing, a message will appear communicating that “...she is too spent to climax again. She needs time to recover.” The ceiling for this limit is raised as the follower’s devotion increases, so that followers who are more devoted to the player are capable of having more orgasms per turn.
• The selectable choice [CONTINUE INTERCOURSE], which was previously displayed after the player chose to climax, is now absent from sexual events. Now, only [EXIT INTERCOURSE] is available after the player chooses to climax. I believe this will make sexual events feel a bit more grounded & realistic (as the player can no longer climax infinitely), as well as make them more interesting to replay, as multiple interactions may be required to see every possible outcome.
• The player’s choice to climax will now increase their partner’s arousal level, and can potentially cause their partner to climax in response (if arousal is high enough). Previously, this functionality was not in place.

Refinements to Follower Inspections: The interactive inspections for followers have been refined in the following ways, in an effort to make them more streamlined and enjoyable to read.

• Intro scenes for all devotion levels have been shortened & simplified. In particular, the initial physical descriptions have been streamlined and now only give basic information at the start. While the detailed descriptions of those physical attributes are reserved for the inspection scenes which focus on those specific areas of the body.
• Detailed description of follower’s hair style can now be found under option ‘INSPECT FACE’.
• Detailed description of follower’s muscles can now be found under option ‘INSPECT ARMS’.
• Detailed description of follower’s weight can now be found under option ‘INSPECT ABS & HIPS’.
• Detailed description of follower’s pubic region can now be found under option ‘INSPECT VAGINA’.
• The length of the intro scene for followers w/ ‘Unquestioning’ devotion has been significantly shortened. Among other elements, the sequence of automatic undressing has been shortened by only including a brief description of their outfit before they remove it. While the full description can still be found in the re-dressing scene, if you select it.
• All re-dressing scenes have been shortened by no longer repeating the initial physical description of a follower.
• The scene for inspecting a follower’s legs has been completely re-written.
• Various inspection scenes have been tweaked to flow better and/or be sexier.
• Wrote new drafts for multiple follower responses that can occur during an inspection scene. They should now sound a bit more sexy, with increased mentions of a follower’s specific anatomy as well as the inclusion of personality traits.

New Follower Personality Type: Reserved! A new personality type called ‘reserved’ has been added to the game. Followers with reserved personalities are characterized by a straight-backed, formal, and efficient manner. Possessing a modest and no-nonsense outlook on the world, these women are slightly embarrassed by sex, nudity, and emotions, though not nearly so much as shy individuals. The reserved personality encapsulates the concept of a female soldier (or soldier-like person) who is more comfortable with weapons than wooing.

New Outfit: Workout Clothes! A casual exercise-themed outfit consisting of a cropped tank-top, high-waisted athletic leggings, and a pair of track shoes. Available in Outfit Shop for all followers w/ Devotion of ‘Very Trusting’ or higher.

Economy & Gameplay Balancing Tweaks:

• The starting stats for follower Brianna Morgyn have been increased so that she is able to take on silver-earning assignments more quickly, and her mid-tier customization options also become available sooner. Previously, it might take 5-6 turns for these options to open up for your first follower, but now they become available in 2-3 turns. This should decrease the amount of time new players spend as penniless in the early game, and also make more interesting side story events available sooner.
• Silver earned by followers on offworld duty assignments has been decreased by 10% on all performance outcomes. This should help balance earning vs spending.

Misc. Updates:

• Updated side story event in which follower seeks reassurance while attempting to lose weight. Instead of ‘INSPECT BUTTOCKS’, the option is now ‘INSPECT ABS & HIPS’, as this is now the option during inspection dialogues that lists weight-specific details.
• The descriptive text associated with hair style ‘short, casual’ has been updated.
• The descriptive text associated with personality type ‘confident’ has been updated.
• The title of arousal state ‘delirious with arousal’ has been changed to ‘delirious’ so that it flows better during descriptions.
• Updated several erotic side story events that involve a follower undressing before sex, so that the follower’s arousal status is reported to the player before sex begins.
• Fixed issue in which some Side Story events (that launch at the end of the weekly turn report) were not properly creating auto-saves upon running. Only those with embedded sexual intercourse options were experiencing this issue & it has now been resolved.
• Fixed various typos found.
• [END GAME SPOILER] Adjusted age-range generation for recurring End Game event bosses, so that these women will only generate with ages of 18-39. Previously, they could generate at the full range available to any potential followers (e.g. as high as 65), but that seemed odd for the physicality of their characters.
• [MAIN STORY SPOILER] In the final Main Story event, when you have the opportunity to recruit the defeated, but spared boss, a paragraph now appears describing their physical attributes before you make that decision (similar to a standard recruitment scenario).
