2021-08-25 18:38:44 +0000 UTCThere was an office assistant who would come into my office most days and bend my ear about her personal life. She was a train wreck. She was a self-admitted gold digger (but not at all attractive like Maureen) and she was horrible to her boyfriend, rifling through his mail, spying on him, and criticizing him for not being more devoted to her. So I wouldn't say we were friends. But I certainly wasn't sure why I was so "lucky" to be her confidante.
