The Horse's Mouth. A 1958 quirky comedy staring Alec Guinness about a very flawed but committed artist who is driven to paint on bigger surfaces. Alec Guinness brilliantly conveys the artistic drive to paint. As a budding artist at the time I watched it I could related to that drive. The soundtrack introduced me to Prokofiev's Lieutenant. Kije suite.

Brooklyn Bridge, one of the best half hour TV shows ever. Had a short run, so obviously not many people agreed with me. About a Jewish family in Brooklyn in the 1950s, sweet and funny, some time sad, with a great guest turn by Joel Gray.
