My Cage "Classic" 07/27 - 07/29/2007

Instead of a tidbit today, let me ask a question to any fellow creators out there, how do you stay motivated when you're down?

Originally run July 27th - 29th 2007.

I read comic strips. Thank you, by the way.

Thanks. I deal more with depression over rejection than anger, but I'll keep this in mind.

:D Thx, YpM!

Thanks.

I remind myself to let go of my anger. Not bottle it, not do something cathartic, just...let it evaporate, as if the matter were already resolved. This works better than you'd think. I figure if I can't solve the problem, anger doesn't help, and if I can, I don't need it.

Well, we love you, Ed. In upness and in down. You too, Mel!

Stay motivated when I am down? Like about right now? I have a few things - - turn on some meaningful music - often upbeat stuff (for me) but not always. Depends on what works to motivate at the time - do a different chore in a different room - wash dishes, clean some place up, work in the shop - exercise - I am WAY behind on my exercises, and I find I get balanced - or move closer to it - after my exercises (they are defined by my artificial parts, so no weightlifting and such). - last but not least - distraction. Sometimes I just veg at the tele until I cannot stand to stay still for so long and I need to get up and Do Something. Those are my general approaches.
