My Cage "Classic" 06/25/2007

When this strip ran, I remember in the comments section under one of the newspapers that ran it, a person wrote non-ironically to ask why Norm would put his thoughts some place where they couldn't be seen by others. That still weirds me out.

Originally run 25th 2007.

Comments

I kinda relate to that commentator. In third grade, I kept a diary, but I updated with less and less frequency as I realized it wasn't doing much for me. When my mom found it in my adulthood, she hoped I'd share it, but I wanted to burn it at once. Nowadays, the only things I write to myself alone are attempts to keep my thoughts in order, like grocery lists. And webcomic scripts.

Stephen Gilberg

I think the problem is that he sees little variety. He can talk about life in general, but a particular day stumps him.

Norm wrote so eloquently in the previous strip, and now he has nothing to say in his diary. Is he no longer suffering? Or is he only inspired when complaining to someone else?
