Comments

I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Great episode. If you are interested, my rule of thumb is that the more closely a news story fits my narrative, the more likely it is to be bullshit.

Really liked this episode - thanks x

Sargon's smug fucking face

Since you asked: I loved the show this week. You tackled a topic that is the elephant in the room these days. Very intelligent discussion, I liked the honest analysis of peoples' motivations and tendencies. I especially liked how you even gave some good, practical advice on how to put our social media in perspective with our lives. Thanks a lot for a great show!

I love the long-form format. As a patron, I obviously love the bounce from sublime to ridiculous of the regular show, but I have really enjoyed the few of these that you guys have been playing with this year. I think they complement each other very well.

Thanks for the show on this topic. I'm of the opinion that moderated comment systems on most websites are of great importance, as well. Force all commenters to bring substantive conversation, or kick them off. And don't allow "trolls who just talk nice" to keep replying with question-begging nonsense. I realize this would mean a lot of real human effort to police commenters and their content, but there are already companies coming online that provide these kinds of services. And, my honest feeling is that if comment systems weren't internet social free-for-alls, we'd have a lot less abhorrent mental tripe filling our discourse, and we'd be talking about ideas instead of partisan gotchas.

My (theist) mother loved this and so did I! Your regular episodes are a staple in my podcast diet, but this format with a more serious tone was fantastic and I'd love to hear more!

Talking about data is money. Just logged onto Glassdoor for some opposition research and after 10 days if I want to keep my access, I have to give them my salary or some other piece of personal information.

Carrie McMillin

Excellent conversation, thanks guys!

Love being a patron!

Thanks for naming the file properly, I used to hate working out which Patreon podcast was which from the strings of random characters in the MP3 player list.
