Damn, guys. You gotta stop this. Usually I can listen to y’all while out in public with only a few strange looks. I damn near broke something falling to a (thankfully handy) bench listening to this one! That Alex Jones thing had strangers about ready to call the cops on me!

But, as far as German slang goes, these really crack me up: (das) Arschgeweih = tramp stamp ...but literally: “ass antlers” (der) Kümmerspeck = the weight gained after a breakup ...but literally: “grief bacon” My fondness for the language is not without merit.

2018-02-17 19:58:32 +0000 UTCThere is a German word that's been on my mind for the last year, and Cecil just bought the concept up. '(das) Backpfeifengesicht' (slap/punch+-face are the roots). Basically, (one who has) "a face badly in need of a fist". It's real and it's come in handy in conversations lately.
