I am sure a LOT of you are aware that Kristian created a poll in the Schmoedown Facebook Group asking for feedback on Potential Upcoming Exhibition Matches! I know not all of you use Facebook (myself included) so I thought, why not add the same poll here!
IF you voted in the Facebook poll, PLEASE by all means DO vote here as well! I want to compare the results of each poll. Obviously, we want to create matches that you all want to see first and foremost, but we also are always looking for ways to attract new Patrons - so if a non-Patron voted in the Facebook poll, and the match ends up happening, that might entice them to sign up!
But I definitely DO want to know what you all think! Here is the list of Potential Future Exhibition Matches. VOTE AWAY!! You can only vote ONCE, so make sure you vote for the one you want the most!!

It would be great to see several of these. Honestly, I just enjoy a good fun match without any pressure or consequences.

If we have a LotR Iron Man Match or just a regular "only LotR questions" match, the category is going to turn into Star Wars light and in the next Innergeekdom match, we can expect questions like "what is the color of the hat of the fifth soldier that dies in the battle of Helm's Deep" or some stuff like that. It kinda "kills" the category for me. For these reasons, I would prefer something that is large enough to warrant an exclusive match (e.g. Disney Animated / Pixar or Classics or Movie Release Dates), something that isn't a category yet (Die Hard, Costume Dramas / Period Pieces, etc.) or something no one really cares about (I'll leave that up to you). Harry Potter, Star Trek or LotR are all TERRIBLE choices for the game in my personal opinion. I'd like to be able to answer a LotR question at least every once in a while when the category is being selected in an upcoming match... :(

Stephen king adaptations would be fun to watch. I would also love to see a Kevin Smith exhibition. I hope the vote starts to go towards something new !

If you would need someone to organize that and distill the results of such polls in the future, I am happy to volunteer.

2019-04-21 09:47:06 +0000 UTCI voted for the Disney Animation/Pixar one. It makes me chuckle that that is usually a wheel slice included for the celebrity matches and they know the answers a lot of time, but that slice seems to stump a lot of Schmoedown competitors.

2019-04-21 07:08:21 +0000 UTCJames Bond matches for sure you have 34 official movies to draw questions from and lots of seperate nerdy cathegories like bond women, bond villains, Music, gear and gadgets. You could even dive into what food, wine and drinks he uses in a more difficult cathegori. It was dissapointing when it was removed from innergeekdom because someone was weak in the cathegori who wanted to win the belt.

2019-04-21 04:24:44 +0000 UTCI second the idea of a Tarantino match just because I love his movies so much, or possibly a Coen Brothers match, but of the options given above I have to vote for a classics match simply because it’s a category that doesn’t get much play in the Schmoedown and could really test some of the competitors who really know their film history and not just the new/currently popular films
