How're we doing?
Added 2015-07-07 00:39:01 +0000 UTCOk, so we've been up a little over a month, and I think everything is going pretty well, but let us know how we can do better. Anything you'd like or think we could do better? A twitter chat with you guys or something? Let us know. And if you have your own campaign, let us know what you think has worked for you. I'll be publishing something I hope will a regular thing this Wednesday too.

Wow. Good feedback. Thanks!
My Cage
2015-07-10 12:40:33 +0000 UTCI thought I'd give some more concrete and constructive feedback. I think the recent strip with Bridget doting on Squishy and Norm grabbing him is my favorite so far. The art of the "NO MINE!" frame and the absurdity of licking Squishy like food was great. The scenario was just more outlandish than the other strips. E.g. an evil boss and a co-worker who masturbates on the net aren't that absurd. So feel free to amp-up the absurdity. Regarding the masturbation joke: it's cool that you can do things you couldn't do in the newspapers, but I wouldn't go overboard on it. I hesitate to suggest this, since I don't see My Cage as a soap opera, but I've wondered what Bridget sees in Norm. Also, how did they meet? How did Norm get a date with her (let alone a second date)? Norm's family is always fun, as is Creepy Janitor.

2015-07-10 12:12:06 +0000 UTCDon't mind the two formats--sometimes I read it at home, sometimes on my phone. So far it's great!

2015-07-07 22:16:40 +0000 UTCThanks for the feedback on this! Patreon is still limited on their posting options. Like the horizontal strip can't be zoomed in as much as the vertical one. I can't can't even upload two different images in one post. In the meantime, I'll continue to find ways to make My Cage a better reading experience for everyone!

2015-07-07 17:14:21 +0000 UTCYou got it!

2015-07-07 17:09:55 +0000 UTCI like that you have the two formats, but would there be a way to opt out of the one you don't want? The double posts of the comics start to clog up the inbox.

2015-07-07 12:39:37 +0000 UTCDon't worry about piling on or anything, as far as I'm concerned 'My Cage' is all of our strip, because you guys have been so great over the years (I remember our editor being impressed on how much reader e-mail we got for such a small strip). The proof reading is an issue (oddly, we had proof readers when we were syndicated). We are trying and will improve. We'll up the font size too. Let me know anything else. Again, that's not butt-kissing, I honestly consider this your guys strip too.

2015-07-07 07:33:14 +0000 UTCI like the text you are using, but a larger font would be great. Other than that, good job!

2015-07-07 02:27:31 +0000 UTCThese new My Cage strips you and Mel do are great. A twitter chat is possible in the future.

2015-07-07 02:12:23 +0000 UTCNot to pile on, but speaking of eyes looking at the text -- any chance you could use a larger font for dialogue? Or enable whatever device it is that makes it possible to expand the image? Thanks.

2015-07-07 01:40:31 +0000 UTCHere's something you can do better, and which would've been good when you were in newspapers too: have someone proofread your text. I have never noticed spelling or grammatical errors in ANY comics before - until My Cage. And they're fairly common in My Cage. A recent example: Jeff said "What would I look if I stayed in shape?" It should've been "What would I look like ...". Don't get me wrong - I love My Cage. But you really need another pair of eyes looking at the text.
