Thank you for the chapter and a thrilling arc! Wow, this escalated quickly and horribly... Humanity has serious problems with an insane dude like that at the top... Calling the Caldera vermin and praising Adam for "tricking" them... I mean Humanity needs every ally they can find - but, luck they have Adam - boy needs to beware of insane megalomaniacs... I personally hope the Caldera managed to survive somehow - maybe the Phoenix lets them recover as well in a better place at a better time.

Does Adam return to the camp or try to stay with the Caldera? There's so much potential for where this goes next that I am eagerly awaiting the next volume.

I feel like POV shifts would harm the reading flow in this chapter but it's still a good suggestion. The abrupt shift from OP to being dismissed will be fixed though. 100%. That was one of the few points I wasn't too sure about when I uploaded the chapter.

2025-11-20 13:59:39 +0000 UTCPower does not make you go insane. However, those with power usually desire more. Kazriel and Maximilian must have expected more support from the Ruler of Fire. Or that the Emperor beast was not that powerful. However, it is also important to keep in mind that those who lived centuries may grow complacent. The story did not pick up on much of the Rulers' lives or how many powerful enemies they fight. Maybe Maximilian and Kazriel did not engage in a lot of combat, whereas Rulers like Raffael Torch did fight a lot.

I hear what you’re saying about keeping it quick and concise, but also to your point about maybe feeling rushed, there’s a seemingly abrupt shift of the rulers going from larger than life figures to practically being dismissed, not only by the Phoenix, but their fellow ruler as well. Maybe a few shots of the finale from their POVs would make that transition read a bit smoother? Additionally, while these aren’t necessarily great people, it could serve to humanize them a bit to the readers and make their loss that much more impactful. 🤷🏽♂️ That being said, this is and has been amazing! Can’t wait to see what comes next!
