Things That Inspire Me... 🤩

Hello there, my nocturnal creatures! 🤭🌌💫

Wanted to give you another peek into my life today.

Don't know about you, but I personally can't write posts or edit videos/thumbnails (or even reply to emails and comments tbh 🙈) when I hear music playing in the background. And especially if there are words involved, so interviews and podcasts are also out of question when I need to pay attention and get things done. But lucky enough, some time ago I discovered ambience videos, and it was a true game changer ever since (because I can't even work with ASMR playing in the background... it's crazy, I know!)

I can only imagine the amount of work and skill these take (and tbh I'd love to learn how to make these myself, if only I had more time for that), and such videos always leave me in pure awe. It's crazy to think that we can teleport to a different world just like that, with the help of these stunning visuals 🤩

And that's exactly what I did when I was editing my latest "Seduced by Mysterious Twins" audio. This might not be the exact place I had in mind for the scene, but the overall mood was just perfect for getting into the right flow and get more of that inspiration.

Here's the video in my photo:

🏛️ The Beautiful Ancient Roman Baths for Thinkers l Immersive Experience (4K)

And here's another nocturnal version of the same scene:

🏛️The Ancient Roman Baths for nocturnal philosophers | Immersive Experience (4K)

There's also another one I found that seems like a perfect setting for that audio:

🌊 Relaxing sounds of the Mediterranean Sea - Ocean Waves Ambience - No Music

As for the last one, even though I imagined a closed space for the scene and even included the door and curtain sounds there, the visuals in this video look exactly like the place the twins would hide away at. Don't you think? Stunning yet dangerous since they seem to be secluded on top of a hill of some sort.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this little peek into how my mind works. And most importantly, I hope you enjoy the audio! I'm taking a slower day today before getting right into it again, but there's definitely more to come soon 🥰

I have a playlist of soundtracks without words, typically from anime and games, that motivate me without distracting me. Sometimes some soft asmr without words too but I havent done that in a while. Another thing ive been experimenting with is the high frequency sounds like 432hz and 528hz

For me it's somewhat different. I can't focus deeply when I have something playing in the background, even if it's relaxing. Instead, I would rather use videos like these to relax after concentrating, as a way of giving my brain a rest. It's the leisure after the work, not the work being more like leisure. And yes, it's cool to feel like you're in a different world. But your roleplays are scratching the same itch, right? PS: You seem to have a very big TV.

Good idea on the ambience videos. I didn't know those exist! And good deal on taking a slower day -- I hope you get to enjoy it. For work, I play either jazz or 60s-70s Italian movie soundtracks. Those are often more about groove and movement than emotional content. Back in the day when I was overcaffeinated and had an overwhelming amount to do, I'd to play the soundtrack to "Koyaanisqatsi". Especially "The Grid" sequence. Dunno if I could handle that now, though.

Very relatable!! Sometimes silence is a godsend!! 😊

For me it depends! 🧐 Because if I’m doing work that just takes forever but does require me to think a lot then I’ll put on LOFI. (I would highly recommend it to anyone who hasn’t tried it!!) But if I am doing house work then I’ll put on a podcast or whatever music I want to listen to (normally old music like Nat “King” Cole and Frank Sinatra.) But if I’m studying or doing something that requires a lot of brain power then I want complete silence!! ☺️

Hmmmm i hear music, what jkind always depends on the mood but sometimes i need silence bc every sound can be a sensory overload

Question for you: what helps you concentrate when you're working/studying? Or are you the type to do that in complete silence instead maybe? 📝✨ Oh and feel free to share your favourite ambience videos as well, if you enjoy them too 😇
