"Life began with Chaos. This was the great chasm that was the universe. Chaos appeared with a massive yawn, and suddenly everything else came into being."
Took me a couple of extra days to find fitting music for it but we've finally made it to our first reading episode 🎉 (don't mind some eastern motifs here and there pls, I thought it was still nice 🙈)
I hope you like it! Please let me know what you think 🙏 Do you want me to read slower maybe, or this was fine in your opinion? Would you like music to be louder/quieter? Or maybe you got some other tips/requests for me... I've never done that before, so I'm honestly not sure if that was any good at all haha
Aaand for my lovely starnerds out there, I have a question for you:
❓Do you think Gaia could handle the situation differently?
For more context since this is not properly explained in the book for some reason: Ouranos was essentially Gaia's son and her first creation, then became her lover. However, Ouranos grew jealous of his own children he had with Gaia and began to worry that she loved them more than she loved him. So, each time a child was born, he buried them in Tartarus, causing Gaia to be in immense pain while her children were hidden inside of her body (since she's the Earth). So, we can't say she did all that without reason, since Ouranos basically tortured her. But could there be an alternative way out of this situation? And if yes, what would it look like?
📖 The book I'm reading is "Greek Myths: Meet the Heroes, Gods, and Monsters of Ancient Greece" by Jean Menzies. Illustrated by Katie Ponder.
