Cursed - Party Members and Major NPCs

- Pary Members -

Hadley: Thea's childhood friend, both of them being born and raised in Kodu. While Hadley was fine continuing to live in Kodu, Thea wanted to travel and see more of the world and thus left him behind. He's reliable and friendly, always ready to help out people around the town and makes his living taking guild jobs to escort people from Kodu to either the port town of Aigean or the continent's capital of Vermogen, as well as helping out the town's guard. He willingly helps Thea for free but is hopeful for a relationship with her.

I deliberately made him kinda plain looking. He's not meant to be a heroic adventurer, but rather a fairly ordinary guy who can handle himself with a sword. He'll be the 'pure', taboo-free choice for people looking for that kind of thing. You can also just ignore him completely or you can constantly cuck him. Right now I have an idea that having him in your party while you whore out Thea will change those scenes slightly but I don't want to over promise anything there.


Tane: A hunter that lives in Krotten, a village that's basically degraded into being a slum. He's a selifsh asshole that claims to live off the land but really is a degenerate gambler that quickly loses any money he acquires. He always requires something in return for his help and also has an interest in pimping out Thea to pay off his debts.


Xun: A goblin that also lives in Krotten. Intelligent for a goblin, he detests others of his kind for being too stupid. He left his tribe because he wanted to live a more civilized life, although Krotten his only a few steps up from his former life. He's a thief and makes his living by stealing and looting dungeons and ruins. Xun's generally friendly towards people so long as they're nice towards him. At first he'll require payment for his help (either in the form of money or 'service' from Thea) but he can eventually start freely adventuring with Thea.


Murki: A sentient, somewhat intelligent Siyokoy. Like a lost dog, he takes a liking to Thea as she's exploring the swamp land near Kodu, who she thus treats almost like a pet. Like a loyal dog he doesn't require anything in return for his help but does constantly want physical affection.


- Major NPCs -

Alcander: Thea's father and the mayor of Kodu. He acquired the position mostly through nepotism, his father having been the previous mayor. He isn't incompetent at his job but he is lazy and indecisive, though luckily for everyone Kodu is a peaceful town that and therefore never really needs his guidance. As a father he's fairly supportive and attentive towards Thea and Theo, having a good relationship with them both.


Theo: Thea's younger brother. Though not has brave and extroverted as his sister, he's every bit as curious, wanting to learn about and see the world. He and Thea used to have a good relationship but upon her most recent return home he's begun to act awkward and shy around her. He's also good friends with Hadley.


Vadik: Hadley's father. He's the opposite of his son, being greedy, gluttonous, hedonistic, and selfish, although he knows how to present himself otherwise, seemingly being a kindly older man. He runs and owns Kodu's tavern and also owns the town's general store, which has made him the town's wealthiest resident. He's been friends with Alcander most of his life, which he uses to his advantage.


Ramsey: The town's blacksmith. He used to be an adventurer but eventually decided to settle down in Kodu. He's a nice, kind hearted man who comes across as fatherly to every one, but is also fairly perverse. Ramsey genuinely likes Thea and enjoys helping her yet likes to take every opportunity possible to grope her.

Those 8 are the currently planned major characters. Of course they're not the only ones in the game but they are the ones who Thea can develop relationships with and who the bulk of the content will be dedicated towards, and will also be the ones with their own endings. I might add one or two to the list as I develop the game and come across a NPC that I think has the potential to be a more fully fleshed out character, but so far I've actually already nixed some characters and combined others. For the next Cursed update I was thinking of talking about some of the gameplay elements and mechanics I want to implement but these posts are probably pretty boring without a visual element, so I'll first try to finish up some early renders and include them.

As for the next SWAK update, it's still on track for the 31st. I likely won't do another post until then.

No, once I finish up SWAK in (hopefully) May I won't be doing much else with it beyond bug fixing and other corrections. I have a ton of ideas for future projects that are more akin to Cohabitation and SWAK, so I'd rather save any ideas for new characters and plots for those.

Are you going to continue adding to SWAK or will you be more focused on Cursed? I would love to see more side story lines in SWAK and some other characters! Will there be more scenes in the living room and are there things to find in Kate's bedroom when she is not there? Great work so far! Love to see more.

Hi,I would suggest having a dynamic relationships with these characters, like: player will influence directly how character will progress aka become better, for example: let’s say you cucked your childhood friend and he found out about it - his morale or stats will go down due do low-self confidence and shit. But if you do not cuck him and instead make a romantic relationship-his stats will upgrade or morale. For each character it’s different way of additional upgrading of stats. This will bring a bit of uniqueness to your game.
