I have the 990 pro (250ohm) and this is actually my amp that I sent to Z. It definitely paired very well with those cans so I would hope it would with the 1990s as well.

2019-06-08 22:04:09 +0000 UTCThe DT1990's were too bright for me to the point of fatigue. Maybe this amp would make the DT1990's and other Beyerdynamic headphones more enjoyable for me, but who knows.

2019-06-08 15:51:05 +0000 UTCThis amplifier is really intended for high impedance dynamic driver headphones. Its extremely high output impedance makes it unsuitable for low impedance loads and planars. What it lacks in versatility it makes up for it in how well it drives Beyerdynamic's own high impedance cans, as well as a lot of Sennheisers. I keep a HeadAmp Gilmore Lite Mk2 next to mine for everything else.
