Keep a eye out for classic klipsch on FB market place or craiglist. Should be able to find heresy's for under 500 and they shouldn't be hard to resell. It would make for a great review.

The imaging is no joke, being slightly out of alignment will drive you crazy. You need to be far away.

I think you're right, the next iteration, RF82ii were the series I stared with and that started in 2010. They were a step in the right direction but still much better for HT than music.

I bought rf 82's which I believe were the successor to these. They were amazing for home theater but were horrible for music.
