Z Review - Beyer-Dynamic DT177X [Don't Share]

Hey Z, After this review, I decided to jump on the pre order. I then decided I wanted to hear what the regular DT1770 sounded like before the drop ended. I was able to pick up a used set on eBay for $300. I received them yesterday, and I have to say, from what I heard so far, there amazing. Aside from the low end, I really don't think they sound like the set you described in your original review. I find them to very neutral and detailed, with a somewhat V-shaped sound. I ended up canceling my pre order. From what I've seen on the internet, some of the earlier sets of DT1770's had issues. I really think you should consider getting newer set, and giving them another try.

I feel like that's more of an absolute worse case scenario rather than an actual date. Considering pre-orders last until mid May, 1 month, production of say 300 units, 2 months; I think asking for 4 months in production would be a bit much.

yep wired for balance... have to wait a few months... gives me time to find a good balanced cable and the pads Zeos suggested... 380 ain't a bad price. heard already 2 very positive reviews. I'm in!!!

End of Sept ship date is a little rough, Long time for money to be tied up.

I believe this phenomena is called the Zeos effect. Further study may be required.

Ugh....do I blow my load early on these, or do I keep edging for a bit longer to get the Ether CX? I'm gonna blame Zeos for whatever decision I make. It's not my fault if in a month he suddenly reviews the CX and says, "These....*stareatanimegirls*....These" and I just buy all the things. It's always his fault, never my lack of self-control.
