L700 Pads are a must but if you also want to upgrade the headband, try to get the SR-507 headband by proxy from Stax Japan. Same click adjustment but it's got metal instead of plastic prongs that hold each speaker. Got mine and definitely helps it feel less flimsy. Just a little bit pricey but for the money you save on getting these rather than an L700, its worth it.

Its hard to say with musicians. What you want MIGHT be what these provide. You won't have any issues with percussion. That is for sure.

I was a percussionist and have been on-stage for several rock groups. I think this leads me on a search for very good sub-base, base and mid base. All the aspects are needed - immediate attack, good energy, accurate roll-off, etc. Zeos, is the L300 Limited my end game?

Watching this has made it easier on my wallet that I impulsed on this and the 353X limited. Was also pretty amused that the 353X limited I got had the serial 69/300 XD.
