These JBL are nowhere to be found where I live .. if not for Ebay... I was wondering: did you have the occasion to listen to the lower end Swan (which I can easily find on Amazon.it)? The 1000 ? Anything good about them ? I need a pair of affordable powered monitors...

Late to the party but Windows 10 has a Mono setting built in now. Settings > Ease of Access > Audio > toggle mono audio.

Krk rp5 g2, swans m200mkiii also have harder hitting bass, although don't go as deep. Not trying to bash the 305's, they are excellent in every other regard.

Good point to make, at least it is only a minor annoyance which is easily solved with your power strip suggestion

What do you use instead? What qualifies as not boring compared to these?

That would mean that everyone experiencing the issue has bad grounds in their homes. Not out of the question but I run everything through full filtered power. So if it has a slight hiss for me.

Awesome review Zeos, really wondering if JBL thickened the plastic around the waveguide in the same way for the LSR30X units now, because i have a pair of those coming in. On the Mackie, you set the bass -2 db. The Jbl treble -2 db, bass +2 db. Mackies are on sale untill the end of April. Thanks for the reviews.

Nah, already own to many damm amps and have miccas on one desk and andrewjones pioneers on the other. Cant see the need to upgrade when i have jamo c103 for listening and htr. Thanks for recomending the jamos btw

IDK if anyone has had the same experience with the lsr305's, but too me they are really boring monitors. The percussion/impact/transients/dynamics (idk what it's called) are so soft. I think I know why, these monitors are so light weight that they would distort with harder hitting kickdrums and stuff.
