Well I am not sure about the workings of the PS4 but if it outputs Fiber only you can't really do much. BUT if it takes a 4 pole 3.5mm you can get something going with the ModMic or the ATH one.

Is there anything like these that works for PS4? I'm mainly PC, but my friend is on console and I hate having to use an uncomfortable gaming headset when I have a headphone setup sitting there staring at me

Id probably call the Syba as slightly worse. There is more going on as far as features. The mic input and EQ etc.

I will mention them in my upcoming rear channel video. But I don't think i have time to include them in it. I think you might be better off with in-ceilings honestly. Then you can get an 8" driver going instead of a 4". Just for sheer volume's sake.

I had the syba it's a neat little thing if you have easy to drive heaphones. I also had the one that looks like the Micca origen but it would cut out with certain headphones when volume got loud, almost like a kick back and have a high pitched nouse. It had no driver issues and dsd. Syba also make another one that looks like the one in the video but has more power and is 24-bit 192khz.

Could you please review the elac ow4.2 please? Wonder if they are good choice for atmos surrounds and even better alternative to in-ceiling speakers?

I like to sample the "cheaper gems" you review. Recently bought the fx audio dac x6 cause I was using my headphone out of my Demon AVR prior. Love the device, but the build of the syba sonic has my eyes popping. #ILikeBigKnobs. Does the Syba Sonic compare to the Fx Audio in terms of sound quality?

I tried the GSX, and if Sennheiser made that thing a line-level volume knob without any other features, I would buy 2 just because the design is so fucking good.

Ground loops do happen. And the MPOW can fix it but at a loss of quality.

I haven't played with the logitech or any other of those 7.1 visualizers. But I am sure they are trying to do similar things. And processing power is key so $38 AND a headphone. I have my doubts.

I got an SMSL M6 specifically cause it had a headphone/line-out switch. So those units are out there, but yeah, the most overlooked feature together with power buttons being on the front.

How is the 7.1 virtual surround of the Gsx1000 compared to virtual surrond of gaming headsets that on the market, like Logitech G430 which costs 38 dollars on amazon? Not talking about sound quality in term of music listening, just for the suround immersion, Does gsx surround is more realistic?

I don't think you talked about the MPow ground loop. You have now tempted me to get the Sennheiser but do you think it's a hardware Dolby Atoms like they use in Overwatch?
