Yep I do have to EQ the 1060c to get the bass out of it. It keeps the clarity on the other frequencies too which is cool.

Well, it's also cheaper. You might be able to make a fazored version cheaper than the official fazored version.

It's tight and punchy, if you eq them it can get overwhelming on some songs

They are amazing, they are quite a bit wider to me and the sound quality is probably best I've heard so for. Have you tried them with the audeze reveal plugin Zeos?

What's the low end like on these? I want to get slapped in the face with tight punchy bass.

560's from memory were very refined. Very subtle. These share a similar tone but wider an "larger" sounding.

Ok with kind of price i am at a loss, i want to upgrade from my X2 and sony ma900 ,should i get this or both the hd660s and M1060 combo.

Damn straight. I have the nice, braided cable with mine as the unit I received had a crappy cable that didn’t work. Came with a balanced cable also, so all things are grand. No regrets here.

How big a step up are these from lets say the Hifiman HE4xx? Nevermind I found the answer in the HE4xx comments .

660's I compared the imaging to STAX. So they win in that regard which is something I never thought I would say about a dynamic.

At about 13:13, you mention the hd 660s in regard to imaging. I tend to prefer the sound of planars, but I was wondering how you compare the hd 660s to the Audeze lcd-2c.
