However, I've replaced them with recently built Amiga MT towers from Parts Express. I may use the Q100s for nearfield instead. (BTW, the non black versions are worth much more, I got mine (black) for $350 CDN, about $260US at the time.)

Dynamic range is important, most of the time you can only get that out of big speakers. Part of the reason everything is so compressed these days because majority of people are using small gear.

2017-09-29 02:05:14 +0000 UTCWas excited to see you get a pair of 100s mailed to you a few months back: you came out with that at the same time I got a pair of Q300s for $400 in that delicious maple finish. Sound blows my mind on my desk. I wasn't too certain about the coax but they work well with the front port. They look much better in person than they do over video...
