The go-rack mixes the two inputs. You get no control over the balance beween the two except for the separate left and right controls which don't effect the 3.5mm input. Switching what does what requires something else. You should be able to split your source and just lower your headphone amp or speaker amp separately.

I was thinking about getting something to switch between headphones and speakers so if I have to get up from my desk to do chores around the house I can switch to speakers easily. Plus the Go Rack looks pretty neat. Have you tested the synth bass with the X2'
