Well fixing the originals takes a bit. So this will push them but not correct them.

Let me know what you want for the SMSL M8.

1411 is CD bitrate uncompressed in WAV format. So you can losslessly compress that number down to flac which will compress as far as the music will allow. Some very heavy songs with a lot of data can only get down to 1100 where much quieter and simpler music can go down to as low as 600 without losing any quality.
Burning software actually decompresses any input file to wav (damaged or not) and puts it onto the CD

r/AVexchange on Reddit, or the Head-fi for sale forums would be some places where you could sell... out of curiosity how much would you be wanting for the Jot?

just for sake of closure, whats a numbers comparison from 1411 flac vs the sound of a CD? And don't burning softwares just compress the file anyway?

1. I love my Oppo devices, including this one, which I bought "refurbished". I also have an Oppo blu-ray (BD-105). But their apps are a little dodgy in my experience, and the remotes are dodgier. I usually have to restart the app once or twice during use, and the BD105 remote has really a weak signal to the machine's volume control.
2. I too have an AUNE (now feeding the Dark Voice), a Dark Voice, a Mayflower O2/ODAC, an SMSL M8, a Schiit Jotunheim, and two pianos. Alas, only 2 ears still, and not two nickels to jingle in my pocket. I'm keeping the Dark Voice and the AUNE but I guess I will let the rest go. So how does one go about selling things like that? Ebay? Craigslist? I've really never done it.

The problem with HDtracks is it requires a special downloader program to get your albums, which I think is kinda skeezy and locks out some operating systems. Buying on CD and then ripping yourself is actually often cheaper than HDTracks, so that's what I do if the album isn't on bandcamp or bleep.com or similar.

I looked at this 8 months ago, but the price was too high. There was not much info on all the features but now that I know what it offers I am now saving for one.

HDtracks.com is decent. I like Bandcamp.com but it is a bit harder to find some stuff.

I found the change the ZMF's made wasn't as good. If you have a pair you can try but if you are buying just get the alphas.

Yo Zeos, you mentioned that the alpha pads worked well on the ad2000x's, do you think I'd get a similar result with the ZMF lambskins, and while where at it, what kind of a change do they make? Thanks in advance for the response!

Don't fret. It still powered all the headphones I threw at it.

Great to hear your thoughts on this one. I pair mine with the HD800S also. Be interested how you find them on the Dark Voice as I am sooo very close to purchasing a WA22 to go with the HA-1.

I do love my HA-2 :) Part of the ownership experience is simply the *feel* of it in your hand......it exudes high class. I'm not in the market for anything on the HA-1's level, but if I was, I'd take a serious look at this one based on my HA-2 experience.
