Today we’re working with the letter F.
Flowers! Frangipanis!
I’m not sure why flowers have come into my head but I have a theory. As I’ve mentioned before on the podcast I LOVE playing Animal Crossing on my Switch, but I only ever do it when I’m on holidays. Over the past couple of weeks while Ryan was busy becoming a Dad, I was kind of half working / half holidaying and got to sit on the couch and play Switch!
Basically I’ve finished the initial game, like the quests part and unlocked all the abilities and whatever you call it (lol) and now I get to just free range collect and plant stuff and whatever.
Just as a side note - If you have never played Animal Crossing but have a switch, definitely get it. It’s so fucking fun. If you don’t know what on Earth I’m talking about - it’s what they call a ‘cosy’ game and you get to forage and wander around and you don’t have to fight any bosses or jump on anything’s head. I find games with fighting in them SUPER stressful. I love Mario but get so stressed about fighting the bosses at the end of each world. I do love games like Overcooked and Moving Out but sometimes the countdown timer makes me shake with rage and uncertainty. Hahaha.
Back to Animal Crossing - I had to beautify my island. I have planted allllll of these flowers across my island and I really love watering them, and so I’ve got fresh flowers on the brain! Are flowers easy to grow in real life? I started a veggie / herb garden planter box but it all died. Are flowers easier than that? Because maybe a big flower planter box would be nicer to look at than the current weed situation I have?!
I love fresh flowers - like more than anything in the world. I have always said that if I ever won the Lotto I would buy myself a fresh flowers subscription so that I’d have a fresh vase of flowers every week or two to enjoy. Maybe I could just plant my own and instead of waiting to win lotto I could enjoy my own?
Any green thumbs here that can let me know the prettiest and most importantly EASIEST flowers to bring to life? (That don’t mind a Melbourne chill….. Lol am I starting this at the completely wrong time?)
Love you!!!
Also I hope you LOVED our first episode back today. I have missed you all so much!
