Yonni stopped being homeless at 22, when he was able to get a girlfriend, Joy, and a job just based on his new looks. He had already put on quite a bit of muscle and was taller. He kept the blanket he made because it helped him heat up when he needed it most. Joy never questioned it.
Joy was there for Yonni when he was just turning his life around after being homeless. It was a harmonious relationship, because Joy needed Yonni too.
When Joy expressed she felt she might be trans to Yonni, after being closed off for so long, Yonni simply said, "Whether you are Joy or Roy, I will love you."
