2024-01-23 00:52:31 +0000 UTCSo It Goes is a reference to the book Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut. The book is about Vonnegut's experiences in WW2 and the phrase is used whenever someone dies. The ending of this album is indeed an ascension as you said - the ascension into heaven. I remember Mac saying in an interview that "Right now, I like to end my albums with death. I don't know why." Off the top of my head, Faces, GO:OD AM, The Divine Feminine and Swimming all end with death. Circles on the other hand ends up where the albums starts, creating an eternal circles (much like how Mac's legacy through his music is eternal).

2023-12-06 20:59:00 +0000 UTCLove seeing Mac on here since I grew up on him since I was 10. I think what made his music so special was the emotion he put into the music. It’s pure authenticity, whether it’s his lyrics or his voice. A lot of artists try to concoct something superficial but it’s so sincere from Mac that it puts you into his own feelings. That’s how i’ve always seen it at least. Great reaction, much love!
