Small $5 Patron Update

Hello hello! Just giving a small update for $5 backers.

Recently it's come to my attention that some patrons would like .epub files as well as .pdf files for polished final works. I'm quite the luddite, so I have a "tech guy" I work with, and I've tasked him with either teaching me how to convert to ePub files, or convert them himself. So, within the month, my stories should begin getting released to $5 backers both as pdf as well as epub files.

If there's another ideal possibility for eReading, feel free to message me. More updates will be coming soon!

I use Google Docs to write the stories, and my tech guy has, hopefully successfully, just taught me how to use Sigil. I tried rapid conversion, but it led to weird formatting issues. If the test ePub file I posted doesn't work, I may end up using Calibre.

Thumbs up for epub support! I usually use Calibre and the FanFicFare plugin to download stories and convert them for my e-reader, but that won't work with stuff posted to Patreon. What kind of word processor are you using to write your stories? If you use Word or OpenOffice, I can recommend Anthemion's Jutoh for rapid conversion. It'll import txt/docx/odt files and exports epub, mobi and azw (w/ kindle tools installed). It'll also double up as a nice little word processor in a pinch. At 45$ it's well worth the asking price, and you can try it before you buy it. It runs on Windows, Mac and Linux and it comes with good documentation and a supportive community. Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with Anthemion software; I'm just a satisfied customer ;-)

Depending on what you type up the stories on, it should be a simple case of uploading a word document into a free file converter. There may be an extra step if you use Google files or another tool
