the tech update is not available for download yet. currently, version 20.16 is available for download. there are several downloads available: 1 for windows etc. no download for iphone/ios as apple has a policy regarding adult content. i have seen or read something about addons to make ios versions but haven’t tried them. go to summertime saga website for the full release. there are other websites you could download from but i can’t vouch for safety. good luck

You're talking about his colorful tracker for Art Tasks, Posing Tasks, Writing Tasks, and Code Tasks. Yes, I DO know what you're talking about. It doesn't tell you much more: #724 Wide: Location Beach, #928 . Yep, that helps a LOT. A in posing could be "Katya Button", or it could be "RE-repose entire game again". It still doesn't tell you how much is actually left. Whereas you may not care when it's released, it seems quite a few people (myself included) do. SS has been in development for seven years now (first release was in August of 2016), and the tech update alone is pushing three years. You can't honestly expect that there would be no frustration. Let's dispense with the tried and true "Nobody says you have to support it," and the old standby "If you can't afford $12 a year, go fap to another game," as they get old. We're all here because we want the game to succeed. However, that doesn't mean we have to simp for DC while he takes his sweet time fixing his incompetence.

I could care less about a wallpaper, I could care less about each individual task (Drew upgraded freckle on Judith, Upgraded nipple art on Roxy, etc does NOT tell us when he might release the tech update). FYI on there discord is a bot that you can request a update whenever at no tier. Literally says what percentage is done and what is currently being worked on and it moves by a measly .5% maybe every month? Sometimes more sometimes less. Anyway I used to be on the $10 tier since before the tech update started and it has been years now since they have started this with no end in sight. All those of us are asking for is transparency. Those of us that have been here for years feel like we are being dragged along and used.

Setting up the new rig system, including a means to let us use our old saves, add new material, make sure all interactions in all arcs and overlapping arcs etc all work. Once they committed to the new rig system, every detail has to work and every character, every element, in every scene in every story arc has to interact…correctly. Its not a cave painting, it’s thousands and thousands of pictures and parts. Patience, young grasshopper.

I'm not complaining against DC and his development team. In fact, I checked the development tracking tasks on tracker, and I'm happy in what I see. I upgraded to $5 tier, (and no more than $5 tier, unless it's a poll), just to see that tracker tasks. Arts and writing are already done. Posing has 12 posing tasks in progress, and 7 posing tasks left to do, and that's it for Posing! The Code bar is a bit of work. There are 3 Code tasks in progress, and most of the code tasks have been done, and there's tons more code on a new rig (new system) to be done. So really, after Posing, the Code is all that's left to do, and it's a bit more work. I'm not a coder, and but I do understand some computer stuff. (I'm not a professional. I'm an amateur at best. I did some web design and some code before). But yeah, Coding is a bit of work and some pains to do. It's not fast. It's work. I can give it least 2 years of developmental work left to do and (perhaps 1.5 years if they pick up the pace?), based on the amount of code work left to do. All in all, I'm very much happy on the progress. They are working their ass off on this. Because there's more than one posers in posing field, that posing tasks is soon quickly coming to a close. Again, I say that the Code is all what's left to do. And a bit longer at that.

When there is no real progress in game development and they just keep piling on more and more graphics to keep the fanbase happy, it's just getting ridiculous! Don't get me wrong, I've played the game from end to end, read all the dialogue and done it all, I love it and I find DC to be a great artist! But I simply can't see how porting the game to another platform would take such a long time! Get the job done before, keep the streaming to once per week until the update is done!

Yes, I know we all did. ;-) But I remember what he initially laid out what the tech update would be. It was to redo the all background art for a wider display view. Then work on the character's story like Rhonda, Annie, etc., and tackle a few more technical items. Next thing you know he's redoing all the character's art and rigging, Adding more places in the town. Adding bonus animations (at least he released those). He could have released updates once he had all the old background artwork converted. Regardless, the way I see it he's overhauling the entire game. I'm not against it all, I love his work... I just have to call it what it is, a remake. Sorry, if I sound difficult. Not my intention. I appreciate your response. Hopefully, we get to play this game soon.

Most of the visual novels made by the female artists took 3 to 6 months max, for the male designers it was 6 to 9 months, and they were working with maybe .1 percent of what his budget was for those two years. Thanks for the “Update”. Just took a stroll through actual game update releases the last major update was March of 2021. In 5 months we your patreons will have gone 3 years without a major update on this game let’s put this in money terms at around that time he was making about 80k per month and it stayed that way for a year then it dropped to 60k per month and that lasted until April or May of this year. In those two years he has raked in 1.4 million dollars there is no excuse for him to not have this “tech update” , Rhonda’s and Annie’s storylines wrapped and released with Judith in the coming months. I cancelled my pledge in April and just jumped on today to see it hasn’t changed in the last 6 months will be dropping my patreon again and see where it is in six months two dollars a year won’t break my bank. It’s just sad to see how far DC has fallen since 2018 when I first subscribed to his patreon from 2018 to 2020 he completed three arcs in Jenny Diane and Eve on his timeline he set. Just to remind you he had actual timelines for releases back then Rhonda was 2021, Annie was 2022 and Judith in 2023. Once that remake(tech update) was voted in he removed the roadmap and timeline from summertime sagas website and discord.

i agree 99% half of the problem seems that he is an artist and wants the game to look great or be up to his standards. still the community wants to know where we are, if not in time at least in a percentage. If anyone was getting +60k a month I'm sure they would be able to recreate this game from ground up, By hiring competent people who can Draw, code, pose and all those things. Darkcookie Has 9 people working for him, But even then 4 years later we still have not even an estimation date. Mate I know its a pain in the ass, but if you are a coder you choose that as a job... also I know that not always adding more coders is helpful especially when your coding new things. I might be wrong I havent started my coding classes yet so I dont know much, however, I have seen mates of mine set up apps in a week or two for the sake of projects for uni, some of which required animation displays connected to machines in labs and stuff like that. All I know from this game is that for at least the 3 months ive been checking the bar and coding seems to be at the same percentage and is the area that needs the most work.

The real reason we haven't gotten a release date is there would be a mass unsubscribe until that day actually comes. If DC comes out and says "X month in X year" everyone would just leave the Patreon and check back in then. We're all staying at this point because it's still an "any day now" feel. I liked this game and can afford a dollar a month. I hope to replay it when the update comes. But for now, I'll wait patiently hoping I'm not an idiot who will wait forever

I get why the Devs don't want to do a release date because they might not hit it and we can't see real time progress because the percentage bar doesn't update because it's not a full task or whatever, fine. But can we at least have a list of tasks for what the update will need for completion because as nice as it is that we know the game's being worked on, we have no point of reference for what this means to an update. Writing about a task you did means nothing to us unless we know that we can knock that task off a list of however many left to get to where all of us want to be. Yes sometimes problems will surface and more stuff will be needed to be added sure. But if you're transparent about it and give us accurate updates then this community would be so much more forgiving. I know these updates were made to be more transparent about stuff but it doesn't do anything for practically any of the fans who just want news on this update.
