The tech update was sold as something that would be completed in 3-4 months. Had the poll been done with DC saying "We're gonna do a tech update, and three years from now, it still won't even have a tentative release window, I'll have made millions, and at the three year point, you will not have received playable content for close to a year already. Yeah, he even hinted that he didn't expect the tech update to win the poll, so they were blindsided. I think they already had work done for subsequent updates, but the tech update meant redoing every image in the game.

He set a poll and described what it would mean for doing the tech update and the majority of the people voted on doing the tech update so he can better the game and that future updates wouldn’t take so long, people don’t even need to pay, you can literally play the game completely free, there’s no need to be complaining. Not to mention that if you go to his Kompas menu it shows a blocked out game that he may also be working on.

Nothing but crying and moaning about games being awful or not living up to expectations, while constantly shouting "Gimme, gimme, gimme!!!" Half these comments are from those exact hypocritical whiners. I'm so happy to finally see progress. Some reprimands for how long it took to get these updates is warranted, but not to this level, especially since none of them are saying anything new or insightful.l that hasn't already been beaten to death over the 6 plus months. Especially considering you stream so often while LITERALLY MAKING THE GAME, which is all the proof anyone should need that it's getting done. It's sad that these days gamers are more connected to their favorite developers than ever before, but have only begun treating them worse. Oregano, since you asked, NLT started and finished Lust epidemic in a year and a half. Then, he started and finished Treasure of Nadia in a year and a half, then started The Genesis order. MrDots completed Melody in two years. Dating My Daughter took longer, but was split into two parts/games. These are not the only games/developers, just some of the more popular ones. There's plenty of games that have taken longer, but are updated consistently. Look at Glamour, by Dark Silver, and Fashion Business, by Decent Monkey. Michael Panas, when is the last time you saw any new content? I'll give you a hint: 9 months. Do you USE the wallpapers DC has been so kind as to leave post? Why are YOU here? To ride DC's jock? here is some fun facts, the DEVS took an ENTIRE month last year to rework the dining table scene, the one where you are eating breakfast. Yep, they took an entire month for 1 single scene, because none of them could come to agreement on the placement of the chairs, this isn't a joke, it was multiple full live streams of them moving around a table and chairs, and resizing and positioning, now multiply that by something like 10,000 stills and you will see, this REMAKE is never going to get released.

It's not entitlement. It's the fact that a tech update, sold as a 3-4 month ordeal before being voted on, is going on three years now. It's the fact that the last playable update was almost 9 months ago. It's the fact that patrons of a crowd-sourced game have been paying well over $60,000 a month for almost three years since the update started, and we've received a few wallpapers, two updates, some cell-shaded art upgrades (that haven't launched yet), and still have no ETA of when it might be completed. Add this to the fact that when the tech update is completed, we'll STILL have to wait for new content, as the update will merely make it "easier." That leads to a little frustration. Everyone is here because they want to support DC, but you have to admit, it's getting a little old. I've said it before: Bigger games with better graphics have been started and completed in less time, with less developers, for far less money

It seems to want to hide any information which would indicate how much work and how much time is still needed - which for me means it will still take many month (it does not make any sense to start with monthly updates of you are already close to finishing) DC: The progress bar is not currently displaying an accurate progression of the work being done due to the nature of the Tech Update requiring a heavy amount of back and forth with content implementation (and testing).

I don´t have much interessent in what was done, to me would importart to know at least what is still pending, being that all questions to a timeline are ignored. There seems to be a lot of redoing and enhancing stuff going on - something nobody asked for. And even if its the developers choice how to proceed, if more and more people lose interest and stop supporting, the progress will get even slower and we a steering down.

They did that a bit with some past updates, like the main story involving the mayor and the Russians, they offered those new designs. Doing multiple small updates and making people redownload the game over and over is a bit impractical.
