January 10th and only up 80% complete. Seems like it gets slower for the completion of the next version the closer we get to see the next release. But I was under the impression that more staff was hired to help with the updates.

when it’s ready is best answer i can think of. we were warned quite a while ago that the tech work would take longer due to the size and complexity of the game and the multiple programming styles used by multiple people over years. debugging and writing the code to include older versions of games and code is quite involved and in many cases required changing and updating large parts of the naming conventions, etc.

If you go into the stream and watch for a bit you can clearly see that DC is going super slow and taking small breaks very frequently.

The thing is they are earning more than enough to support their families if they have one. So that issues out of the way they have enough money to hire more people into the dev team. I have a feeling they're milking people out of money and slowing the process because they can get more money from making people wait and letting them donate as if it was going to speed up the process.

I think people see what they want to see. Me? I see a cool game built from scratch and drawn by hand. It’s not even at alpha stage and I’m having fun playing it. You? See someone stealing a dollar of your rent money.

I’m going to stay one more month but we don’t hear an update about the tech update i’m not going to renew subscription, until the tech update is done. You don’t think they would go wayy faster if the money wasn’t flowing?

Helmetkid: From your profile it appears you joined in August of this year. As large as the project is, I suspect DC and crew don’t have a lot of time to update everyone with the details. The game has been in development for several years and has seen many changes and releases. There are thousands of lines of code and thousands of drawings/pictures that all need to work together well before a new version of the game can be released. Either you don’t have much patience or you have a very short attention span so to be helpful, see methods listed below to help you overcome your lack of information status. One method is to research current progress using the wiki selection in the main menu at the Summertime Saga website and read about current changes, problems or errors found, reported and corrected. Another excellent way is to visit the Summertime Saga website and under the main menu select stream. Stream selection will take you to the picarto.tv site where DC frequently posts videos of ongoing scene work. There are 17 videos currently, each about 1 1/2 hours in length with ongoing conversations between DC and members of his team, input from fans, etc. Most recent videos focus quite a bit on Kim’s sister fighting, wrestling and sexing MC along with background scenes. If you take the time to listen to the videos, you can hear DC discuss details, preferences, and other issues ongoing in the development of future, upcoming events. From time to time you may even pick up on clues about future developments in their conversation. You can be included in an alert text system alerting fans when DC is live streaming where instead of just watching video, you can hear DC streaming live and can make comments, offer suggestions, listen to music playing on the stream etc. Hoping you took the time to read and understand this message and that it was helpful in getting you up to speed on current SS progress.

Either you do not update the summertime saga news site, or its broken but I am becoming less and less patient. I understand if some developers are burnt out or having private issues, if thats the case then i understand you but I have not seen any thing posted about it so I am guessing the things I wrote at the top.

if you mean starting with the cookie jar open for all characters, then yes, all updates are there. however, you still have to play to and through the different paths to see everything. like the path at erik, june and mrs johnson or mia, her mom and the nun.

The characters involved seem to still be getting worked on. Part of it taking so long was DC was on vacation for a week and a half and also has canceled streaming a few times in recent weeks. In short, I have no idea. Would be nice to get a written post.
