Fan art - My Ten Most Wanted (at this point)

Been working on this on and off for the past month between other - probably more important - things I'm doing.  But at heart, I really am just an average gamer geek.  And sometimes, I just gotta do my fanart (and this one, I wanted to make sure I had done before the last Fighters Pass character gets announced).

Since it was confirmed that even after the Fighters Pass there'd be more DLC characters, I've been seeing these kinds of lists pop up a lot (more than usual, even).  Often, lists of ten like so, even though I'm not sure I believe there are going to be quite that many more characters.  Still, I wanted to throw my hopes in, although I confess I'm kinda reaching at this point.

Real talk: In my opinion, Smash Bros Ultimate's roster is already perfect. It's truly given me just about every character I've ever wanted since the beginning of this series twenty years ago. I got Mega Man last time. I got Simon and Richter this time. I got Joker and Terry through DLC. And most importantly for me, I got Hero (four versions, no less!). 

While there are other characters I'd love to see (as shown in the image above), I won't be heartbroken if they don't happen.  I'm genuinely happy - downright ecstatic - with what I've got in this game.  No character is going to ruin the roster for me at this point, and to be honest, I don't even expect a single one of the characters I've drawn to become available.  These are just the last lingering characters I could think of that would make my day.

While I said I don't expect any of them, a lot of the ones I picked are still (mostly) ones I could believe happening.  Maybe a lot of longshots, but none of them are impossible (at this point, seeing what's come so far, I don't think anyone's truly impossible).  The only one I truly can't see happening at all is Soma.  I actually only had nine characters for this list, and like a dozen others that I love but just didn't think could happen.  I actually used a random number generator to pick from my super unlikelies, if just so I could have that "even ten".  And Soma won... several times.  XD

Everyone else, I do think can happen, though.  I could probably give every last one of these characters several paragraphs of explanation on why I think they belong or how they might work.  But I doubt anyone really wants to read my hypothetical novella and I could probably be doing something way more productive with my time.  But the short, short version is that I just LOVE all these characters, and it would make me happy to see ANY of them.

Again though, I have no regrets with what's been offered so far.  Even if none of these happen - even if DLC abruptly ended where we are right now - I'd actually be really content.  ^_^
