Lucas scandal - he may be a shitty “boyfriend” but if these girls/fans who put themselves in his path don’t value themselves, he won’t value them either. He seems to be able to sniff out the ones that aren’t problematic (until now). There is a lot of whining on both sides of the relationships (Lucas and his women). If this was his harem, what a headache he would have! All joking aside, if he was stupid and the girls were caught up, then just putting a stop to it is good. But ruining his livelihood for non criminal behavior is worrisome - why the mob mentality? Do you personally feel threatened that you need to oust him permanently from the industry? Is it that serious? Because that’s the feeling I’m getting from these comments and discussions. As I said, aside from Super M, Lucas is not on my radar - he’s just a tall good looking kid who sings and dances with Taemin and Kai’s group. If can’t have grievances and feelings like the rest of us, then I would be more worried about him. But being young with spoilt behavior sounds normal at that age - he needs reining in and a kick in the pants maybe. Better oversight by management probably.

Therefore, fans should most CERTAINLY should know so that they can protect themselves from potentially being manipulated and know what kind of person they are supporting. Secondly, this is a very very creepy power dynamic here. He could have sex with literally anyone, and he chose fans. That's incredibly gross. This is a HUGE issue of professionalism and maturity. This is what NDAs are for. Don't shit where you eat and if you do it's your JOB to protect your image and the reputation of your group and company. The fans saying he didn't do it when there is photo video and voice evidence and he ADMITTED to it in his statement. I am a Czennie. I saw SuperM in concert. I was a fan of Lucas. No matter what, WayV has been severely damaged by this and there is no way they will be able to work in china again unless Lucas leaves.

Due to fan culture in K-pop, this is less about outing personal dirty laundry and more about leveraging his influence as an idol.

I don't think kpop is any better than american pop, but I think those fans were trying to say there's always US documentaries and articles about the "dark" side of k-pop, but they ignore extremely shady things happening in the American music industry. Just off the top of my head, Megan Thee Stallion said out of 7 million dollars she earned, she only kept $10k and her label is constantly not allowing her to release music, Lady Gaga said she was raped by her music producer and had an abortion, and Kesha has also filed lawsuits towards her label and producer for physical and sexual abuse. The difference is these are treated as isolated incidents while when anything happens in k-pop, you suddenly get a bunch of articles generalizing the entire industry, probably with BTS as the cover photo as clickbait.

I think that, just because you have a job where you are more visible to a bigger audience doesn't mean that they should be deprived from a certain level of privacy. Yes, it is disapointing to know your idol has a shitty behaviour behind the screen but to be honest, exposing these things publicaly doesn't help any of the parties. The rest of NCT members have nothing to do with his personal problems but still, they'll be affected. I get that the girl wants to solve things and perhaps warn other girls about his behaviour but I believe there are better ways to do it where only he gets to carry the consequences of his actions.

When BTS features on other songs it's usually only 1-3 members, never the whole group, so I would really like to see rapline feature on Megan's future album. You guys mentioned in DK news that a lot of Korean people were looking up Megan's music after the collab, it's funny to imagine if the first song they come across is WAP. As for Lucas, do you think SM will put him on a hiatus or leave the group? I'm leaning more towards leaving the group especially with the recent news that China is cracking down on fan and celebrity culture. From what I read, the response is pretty bad in China and Korea about this controversy.

She should maybe start talking to some of her friends she has made to help out with it. I feel like the situation with the company will only go downhill from her. Feel for her though. Can't wait for Lisa's album although I feel like her album will have more song on it than the other BP members.
