Release 8.0 | development update

I promised I'd have good news for this week, but I'm going to need an extra week! 😕

In addition, of course, to the question of making previous stories (Josh and Cody) compatible, the decision to create a “ sort of fixed ” timeline for each destination has given me a lot of ideas. And new scenes to add right now! Which unfortunately take up some extra time

I have the roadmap for the College destination planned and mapped out.

In addition to Josh and Matthew, we'll also have Kyle, of course, and one more character to be introduced... an exchange student (but no spoilers yet).

By the way, Kyle will appear in a short scene in this release, just to give you a taste 😈

After I've presented all these stories... we'll have an “ending” to this destination that will practically be a separate destination.

I say this because in this final feature to be introduced, the player will basically have a huge combination of scenes to play... depending on the results of the characters' stories and how they interact in this new scenario.

I'm not going to give details now because that's for later in the year... but just imagine that they're in a college and in a fraternity house... what event would they plan? 😎

I also took advantage of the fact that I was working on Josh's story and changed the whole dynamic of the painting gallery.

Before, I had created this dynamic in which the player had to go through 4 scenes (chosen at random) of the guys in the painting club to finally see the completed painting.

But I was thinking about it: it takes too much effort for the player to get a small reward.

Now the gallery in the painting club is more straightforward: You've managed to convince the character to be painted nude... his painting will already be available for viewing.

On the other hand, to increase the reward, I've decided that each painting will have a special “effect” to make the image more interesting. One will be in black and white, another with a specific color, another highlighting the shapes more... as if it really were an art gallery.

I know I'm a bit late delivering this module... but it'll be a good reason.

This college destination is going to be soooo interesting and very worthwhile.
