I know it has not been a normal few weeks with my not posting on the blog or sharimng new Andy and Aunt Jane art. There is more ,lots more to come but my paint program is running so slow It's killing me. I need to free space on my board, but that means going through masses of bits and pieces and takes so long. But we will get there.
Meantime its the last Friday of the month and that can only mean one thing.The latest page of our exclusive calendar.
So just how tricky is it to move in and out of a country when you are a Bergman & Knightley boy?

It's a policy of enlightened self-interest given attempts by competitors to head-hunt both its female and male staff. It would be foolish to be otherwise given the recent growth of the chain and demand for places remains high. Nevertheless, becoming a Lady of B&K is only for a very few. It's an opportunity to join a select profession and embark on a long-term career path. Most see it as a vocation: once a B&K Lady, always a B&K Lady. From store supervision and management through to back-office roles, B&K Ladies are the custodians of standards. Some are required to train and look after B&K Boys. (The B&K Boys are taught to refer to these ladies as 'Auntie'.). While the roles are demanding, the perks are enviable: there's a reason that a B&K Lady always has a youthful appearance and a spring in her step. Becoming a B&K Boy is also an arduous rite of passage but rightly so. Only with the requisite time and effort does the passage become smoother. This is entirely appropriate given the stringent entry criteria. A trained B&K Boy is a pretty and intelligent ambassador for the B&K brand. A B&K Boy epitomises style and insouciant elegance: a walking role model and fetish icon to which ladies, their protegées, as well as young gentlemen with certain unique, personal tastes can aspire. While Bergman and Knightley stores on the high street are important, B&K Boys are the true shop window for the company and are rewarded accordingly. The careers of B&K Boys are relatively short. Many get snapped up in B&K's biannual auctions by discerning moneyed ladies seeking their very own sissymaid or companion (or quite often both), or find themselves husbands, anxious to have a pretty, intelligent and an ever-willing partner. Comparatively few continue to more senior roles at B&K. B&K doesn't mind about this high rate of staff turnover. It keeps the stock of B&K Boys fresh and recognises that they all enhance the B&K brand image. Even though the road is hard, there is an apparently inexhaustible supply of young men williing to try their hand at being a B&K Boy. B&K knows: once a B&K Boy, always a B&K Boy. Even an unsuccessful B&K Boy stays on to become yet another Bergman and Knightley customer. The absolute elite amongst B&K Boys are the winners of the biennial Bergman and Knightley "Boys Will Be Girls" competition. The successful boy becomes the face of B&K for the next two years. He is immediately awarded a special contract and receives star treatment. He gets chaperoned everywhere by an experienced B&K Lady (one of those extra-special perks referred to earler) and undertakes an intensive whirl of promo-tours, photo-shoots, interviews, chat shows, podcasts, store openings, and meet and greets. A career as a professional model, TV chat show host, singer or even Hollywood star can beckon. Some even go on to marry the billionaire, soccer player, financier, or NFL player of their dreams. The boy is flitted between salons, studios, stores, hotels and across borders. Everywhere he goes, his Auntie oils the wheels. Even with the high profile media presence of a recent "Boys Will Be Girls" winner, it can require all an Auntie's skills and charms to talk him through immigration controls. (Passport and Border agencies can be so stuffy and slow to catch on.) It’s her job to keep everything well lubricated including her charge. After all, neither she nor Bergman and Knightley want their prize asset straying and getting seduced by the bright lights (or worse). He may be a winner but first and foremost he must always be a B&K Boy. And true to the competition, B&K Boys will always definitely be girls. Auntie provides him with a constant reminder of what he is, what he's become, and what Bergman and Knightley want him to be: a B&K Boy.
