How far is it?” M: “How should I know?” S: “You’ve been through this more times than I have.” M: “Oh, ha ha. Usually they make us walk. Be happy, I suppose.” S: “I would, this seat has no padding. I’m getting sore in places I’d rather not mention.” M: “Lousy accomdations, for sure. You can smell the stink of some beast still on it. I hope wherever we end up is better.” S: “You think we’ll be in this overnight? Our outfits aren’t exactly warm.” M: “And do we have any makeup? A brush? Does he think we just look good with no effort or care?” Driver, thinking: Maybe I should have bought gags, after all.
