Get ready for the Friday Jan. 24 release of part one of the two-part documentary, The Power Was with Us: Idle No More, a sweeping look at the emergence of this historic Indigenous-led movement. Co-produced / co-directed by Tim and I as part of our work at APTN National News, its rich combination of extensive archives and expert observers takes viewers on a journey back to those heady times of late 2012 / early 2013.
Distributed exclusively on APTN's streaming service LUMI, you can subscribe now by heading over to aptnlumi.ca. Note that first-time subscribers can try LUMI for free for 5 days; after that, it'll cost you $4.99/month to access the entire catalogue, including part two of our documentary, to be released the following Friday (Jan. 31).
And last but not least, all of our fine friends on the roundtable have agreed to watch the documentary too, then share their thoughts on the podcast soon after each episode! And, of course, we'd love to hear from you too: to contribute your thoughts about the doc, either message us here or email me: rick@mediaindigena.com.
