I'm also sure he definitely wishes that Aegon was born in his generation. I think they both would have gotten very well tbh without the generational divide. Yes Silverwing for Rhaenyra is a big change and a big step. It also puts a lot more pressure on the Greens too if you think about it. Gossips already aplenty you've got to think about Vermithor and the Greens will realise how dangerous their situation is. It's kind of why the Velaryon thinking is pretty smart. They can get away with things with the Hightowers they normally would not be able to

2024-03-21 22:22:56 +0000 UTCAmazing chapter as usual. I loved all of the differing perspectives and political moves being put into play as different characters react to Aegon’s moves. Viserys getting pissy at Aegon slaughtering pirates is such dramatic irony knowing what he plans to do in the next couple of years. And really, summoning Aegon to court to answer to him is hilarious and I hope that we get to see the three sons of Baelon interact once more. Which is funny because of the non-zero chance that Daemon and Aegon are likely to be closer to each other than Viserys atp due to Baelon the younger. Marrying the Velarion kids to each other is a smart move, but it’s so funny seeing the medieval response to a gay dude from Corlys. Like, just look at him bro. I can’t wait to read about Misaragorn’s armor. The inevitable Dance is going to be so cool to read about. Would I be correct on guessing that after the destruction of slaver’s bay that there might be a timeskip of some kind? 👀 just a hunch Also I’m sorry about wtv OF crap I spammed in the Discord, my account had got hacked and because I couldn’t use SMS resetting I had to wait until I got home that night to reset my password to get my account back (bastard got me kicked and/or banned from 2/3 of the servers I was in 😐) Anyways, thanks for the good read once again. This fic (and Odyssey) have inspired me to finally get to writing down my own fanfics instead of just daydreaming about the ideas and I truly thank you for that. Cheers!

2024-03-18 09:24:14 +0000 UTCGood chapter as always. I am glad that you have decided to give us all a look into what's going on in Westeros and in Lys. I'm guessing that Viserys is going to be in for a surprise when he learns that Aegon intends to claim Elemaerys for himself in name and in tittle, though he will not be crowning himself as King but rather as Archon, which is nearly the same thing anyways. It will a kingdom, a realm that belongs to a different branch of House Targaryen, one that is not beholden or a vassal of the Iron Throne but rather independent and in the future will be much more technologically advance. I can definitely see the lords of Westeros gossiping that Visery's two younger brothers are greater and more accomplished that him. Still, I think it will come as a surprise to Viserys when he learns from Aegon that Elemaerys will be an independent kingdom ruled by Aegon's descendants. If Viserys is angry at what Aegon has done so far, he will be well and truly pissed when Aegon decides to attack Slaver's Bay and put the entire ruling class of the Ghiscari to the sword, most of the Free Cities might see it as Aegon deciding to finish what Valyria started and correcting a error that Valyria made by adopting slavery rather than putting and end to it. No doubt this will have a ripple effect throughout all of Essos, the idea of a Targaryen Dragonlord deciding to commit to dismantling slavery in Essos. Who knows Daemon himself might decide to get in on the action. Hopefully, Aegon will manage to buys as many young slaves as he can from Lys before that happens, in case they decide to stop their business with him. The scene with Corlys and Rhaenys was well done as well. I can definitely see Corlys being jealous that he will not be able to participate in this new age of exploration given his age. The man must be green with envy, though I can definitely see him claiming that he was the one who inspired Aegon to travel the seas and discover new lands. Rhaenys' idea of having Laenor and Laena marry each other was also a rather good one as they are for all intent and purposes Targaryens in all but name and this way there might be a chance for Leanor to have children of his own. I like the idea of Rhaenyra bonding with Silverwing, given that canon Syrax has bonded with Gael in this timeline. I hope that Baelon will bond with Vermithor as well, as it would be a great symbolism for Westeros, it would look like the second coming of Jaehaerys the Wise and Good Queen Alysanne. Plus, this was the Blacks will have the largest dragons on their side, aside from Vhagar. which will leave only the wild dragons Cannibal, Sheepstealer and Grey Ghost who need riders. If Laena does not die in this story then the Greens will never get Vhagar and Aemond would need to get another dragon. One thing though, the location of the Corlys p.o.v. scene should be Driftmark not King's Landing. It also looks like things in Lys are picking up and Johanna may have taken the liberty of changing Aegon's plans for Lys to one of her own, but I doubt Aegon will care too much about it, as long as he manages to get more people of Valyrian descent to become part of the citizenry of Elemaerys. Though, I will be interested in seeing the conversation that Aegon and Johanna will be having. Still things might backfire for Johanna and Aegon might have to come to her rescue, if the rulers of Lys manage to catch on to what Johanna is doing. The last scene with Gael and the family was also welldone. I am surprised that the dragons can hibernate, as I did not know that dragons could do so, maybe it was due to the long journey and they knews that they could not fly for long so they decided to hibernate for a while. Looks like Aegon and his family have finally reached Elemaerys, their new kingdom, where House Targaryen will rule uncontested. I am curiosu to see, how many of the noble from Westeros who will send family to Elemaerys expecting Aegon to grant them lands only to learn that there will be no feudalism on Elemaerys but rather a totalitarian regime where one family rules over the entire realm. I cannot wait till the next chapter is posted.

To quote a cruel but wish man “any man that says I am the King is not true King.” I mean come on Viserys he has to know that he has not true power over Aegon. I can’t wait to see Aegon return to Westeros as I hope he talks to both Daemon and Viserys. Also surprised that Rhaenrya claimed Silverwing but probably for the best. So excited to see what you do with both the Velyarons and Johanna in Lys as it interesting to see how the story is continuing to change from the canon. Keep up the great work.
