Hello, everyone! We are so thrilled to have you joining this wild adventure, and excited about your excitement for Horizons!
For your first subscriber-only post, we want to give you some more sneak peeks at what's coming in the first issue, from ground to sky to stars to planar magic! And although we're showing off some illustrations ahead of time, never fear—this is only a fraction of the gorgeous art in the issue itself.

Fantasy worlds need some fantasy public transit! This article presents two new types of truly fantastical vehicles: rune-powered scrawlers, in their many variations—including the stone steed pictured above—and loreriders, which transport city denizens for the price of a story, phasing through crowds and traffic on their ethereal legs. That's the kind of commute I wish I'd had!

High in the Cloudlands of Nim, the town of Cuculan is home to cerulean dwarves, balloon gnomes, the cloud people known as aislynn, and one particularly terrible crane. The header image of this post depicts a cerulean dwarf painting a Nim Roc, one of the majestic birds flown by Cuculanders. Within the article, you'll also find adventure hooks for getting your party into the sky, a colorful cast of Cuculan denizens, and rumors that lead adventurers across the cloudlands!

Inspired by the wonders of astronomy in our own universe, this article presents lore and stat blocks for star dragons: their formation as protostellar wyrmlings, their adulthood as sequence star dragons, and their eventual transformation into giant starwyrms. The star dragon lair actions will awe and delight players—and awe and terrify player characters!
Author: Rue Dickey, with additional design by Jessica Redekop | Artist: Jessica Nguyen
System: Pathfinder Second Edition (easily adaptable location and character lore)
Look, we all love an NPC with some deep-seated emotional trauma, right? Especially if they're a spellcaster with a cool aesthetic. Raised in an orcish mountain city on an elemental rift, Atraxis is a powerful earth mage who can be an epic adversary or an invaluable ally. Or both, if your players are creative about it! Their (almost) alma mater, the Hall of Light and Stone, is a collegiate setting for elemental and planar study, and Atraxis also brings a new magic item and a ritual that player characters can learn.
We're incredibly proud of our amazing contributors and the final result of all our hard work—we can't wait to show you the entirety of Horizons 1 in just eight days! It will be released as a bookmarked, fully accessible PDF (in glorious color and print-at-home-friendly grayscale) right here on Patreon, 11:00 am PT Wednesday, October 9th.
Finally, thank you again for your pre-launch support! Please feel free to tell all your friends, allies, minions, and assorted followers about Horizons, too. We are a tiny, brand-new company—with solid plans and big dreams—and your support means the world to us.
