Berlin Chair - You Am I

Here's one for our friends in Australia.... and a great suggestion from a Patreon supporter. I'd not even heard of You Am I... so check them out if you haven't heard of them. They're one of those bands that could have been massive if they got the right break - or sold out and become commercial. Amazing tunes though and nice to learn something completely new!

The Tab-On Screen version is now on YouTube exclusively for Patreon supporters

Patreon supporters can also access the downloadable tabs (GuitarPro and pdf) plus the presets (GuitarRig and screenshots) here on sparkyguitar.com and in the attached zip file.

Exactly. Most guitarists fingering means it's not obvious from the camera what they are holding down. And the tabs at bottom of screen are too small unless I hold phone up close to my face and/or squint. Still useful to me as is, but would be a lot easier if I could just learn the basic chord shapes at start of vid. Then it'd be easier to guess from the later fingering..

Hey Andrew - thanks for the suggestion. So I understand this a little better, are you not able to see from the tabs what the fingering is? I’m trying to understand whether there are other solutions to the problem you have… and whether it might also help others etc. Thanks!

I too signed up for this. Sparky I have terrible bloody eye sight, so it would be fantastic if you could just show one clear 2-3 second shot of the fingering of the chords at the start of the vids (cutting it out for the free version of course).

Good man! I'd never heard this song till someone suggested it... but loved learning about a band I'd not heard of... and this such a good tune. Australia's best kept secret!

Signed up just for this. Love it!

Hi Kurt - if you tune your guitar to standard tuning (EADGBe) the you just tune your A string down 2 frets (2 semitones) so that it is a G. That makes the guitar (EGDGBe). Note that I always put the low E string with a big letter "E" and the high E string with a little letter "e" to show that is the little string. Hope that helps?

Hey can you please show me the tuning.. I learning and signed up for this song ahaha. EGDGBe -> doesn't make sense to me :( great work though!

Worth the price of admission alone this one
