I tried the shading assist feature from CSP
Added 2023-03-20 07:24:00 +0000 UTCCSP recently updated to 2.0 and I was thinking of skipping it, but turns out my iPad subscription includes the update right away. So after talking with Clip Studio Support, they gave me a free upgrade for my PC version (yay) (it's nice when support team responds well (unlike twitter))
So I tried it on Okidogi! It's pretty easy to use but I don't think it's an alternative to manually lighting your drawing. It's very crude on how it applies lighting, and sometimes it's guesstimate of how the character you draw look in 3D is bad (take note on Okidogi's right arm). I guess it depends and how you draw the character, maybe furry guy like this isnt supported very well.
But I do find that using it on top of your own manual lighting can create a very in depth look compared to the original, especially if you use soft shading. I'm probably gonna use it more this way
