Monthly Public Recap #2

Hi everyone!

I hope you’re all fine. 2022 is already super exhausting and sad, so be extra gentle with yourselves: rest, read, watch good movies, eat your favorite food and hug your loved ones.

Why is February such a short month? It feels like I didn’t have the time to do anything… Oh wait. On the contrary, it seems I’ve been super productive!



-I managed to draw 2 phone screens in 2 days. And that’s… a thing haha.
-Chapter 2 of Rainette is also done : At least, all the art and color part is done, but I’m still unsure about the few last pages text. I usually don’t take so much time to reread and edit my dialogues, chapter’s 2 conclusion is just very hard to write. I’m afraid it’ll make sense only for myself haha.

But yeah, it’s kinda done.

Sneak peek to one of the phone screens.

-I had a full week of class last week (that didn’t help me work on the text either) and I almost didn’t turn my computer on for 9 days straight (Class prep days + class days). Busy busy!!

This teaching week kept me from writing this report sooner too.

-I worked a lot in my head though xD A lot of plot is building itself in my mind, and that’s my favorite part of creation honestly.



-In February I also got 2 professional opportunities, one I’ll have to wait more before I get an answer and tell you what it’s about (crossed fingers because nothing is sure yet), but the second one I’ll announce it right now!



I’m going to the Angoulême Festival to talk about Webcomics and self publication in France on Friday 18th March. It’s just a two hours Q&A with the visitors, and I won’t be the only author during this panel, but I’m so happy to be part of this :)

I hope I’ll meet a few Rainette readers there!

I had a few students buying me books lately, that's nice <3

-And so, because of thaaaat… I messaged Chkao who did my past website, and asked him if we could go back to work on the new one and be done before the festival.

And YES! It’s almost done!! The French version of the website at least. :)

We also hope to put all of Rainette on it at some point, because even if Tapas is good right now (and I hope it continues like that), we’ve all seen websites and social media policies getting more and more severe through the years :/ So… that will be just in case.



I’ll let you know when it’s 100% done, French but also English version. 


And I think that’s all? For a short month, it’s not bad at all :)

How is the Shrimp?



Shrimpy will be 6 months old next week!!

68cm for 7,690kg. (My arms muscles are growing fast xD )



They’re eating all the vegetables I feed them, even those that have the strongest taste. I’m super impressed and proud! They also eat fruits now :) Obviously that’s a big hit too.

A week ago they started growling. They growl when they are angry, but also just because they like the sound it makes I guess? And a few days ago they started to say « bububuuu » xD Hear a French « U » here.


They’re becoming more and more playful, and are smiling all the time. Some times after eating, when I put them on my shoulder so they burp, they go all crazy and nibble my chin frenetically xD (and then they burp to my face haha).





And I bought us books!! Guess which one is mine xD


What will I do during what’s left of March?



I’ll just try to catch up with what I didn’t manage to be done with last month I guess? I should stop planning too much.

When will I be able to have a clear schedule again? A mystery.


Obviously I’ll draw the monthly phone screen, rework the text for the Chapter 2 ending, but for the rest? I’ll just try my best.
