CampingDorks #4

In last Camping Dorks update you could read the beginning of the first chapter in which Théo wasn't alone. There was a second character, Mathilde. She's the one I'm introducing you to today. ^^

Mathilde is Théo's oldest friend. They have been together since Kindergarten but weren't very fond of each other at first: always fighting, calling each other names and being called in to the headmaster at least once a week because of their bad behaviour. That's how their parents met for the first time and became friends even before their kids did.
As they were forced to see more of each other, including outside of school, Mathilde and Théo started to get along in their discontentment of the situation.

In High School, their parents were 100% convinced that they would end up together, marry, have kids, and so on.

Mathilde is the saltiest girl ever. She won't let anyone walk over her and is very strong minded. Stubborn to a ridiculous extent, yet humble enough to accept when she's wrong, she is the perfect opposite to Théo, but also the exact same in many ways.

Mathilde plays acoustic guitar, and goes to uni because she doesn't know what else to do yet (That's a thing French students do sometimes because Uni is affordable, so why not?), and taking a year or two off just to think about it is out of the question for her parents.

When Théo comes back from his idyllic summer vacation, she's just broken up with her girlfriend and is more bitter than sad about it, but soon... she meets Charlotte in Classical Literature course and nothing else seems to matter anymore.

Why couldn't she fall for a girl who wasn't straight?


I got really chatty about Mathilde, haha, but the plot thickens more end more as the months passes, and so I have a lot more to say about everyone. I'm sure I could be more chatty about Théo and David now than I was back in March and June.
