2025-11-12 03:59:00 +0000 UTCI write some riffs with the guitar, usually first. Or I play chords and try to come up with a melody by humming along. Then, once I have enough ideas and material, I start working in Cubase and create the song. When the song starts coming together, I get a sense of what the song could be about, and I start writing lyrics for it. That's the usual process, but there are exceptions, for example, playing with synths or orchestral libraries to get an idea. Or write some lyric lines without any music and then later try to fit them into songs.

2025-11-02 10:59:38 +0000 UTCI am still using the ATC SCM25A Pro monitors, but I recently started using the Sonarworks SoundID Reference calibration system, which significantly improved the sound, making it more neutral. I can't believe now, listening to the old, non-calibrated sound, how I was able to mix anything with it. The non-calibrated sound now sounds like putting a bucket on my head. 🙂 So highly recommended, if you're room is not a proper symmetrical studio room with acoustic treatment. It was, though, quite a painful setup to go through.

I personally do not oppose it as long as ur truly augments the mastering, mixing, recording - all whilst preserving artistic integrity. I'm currently demoing the new Genelecs. My canss are the Meze Empyrean II and DCA Noire XO. My IEMs are the FFGM Anniversary Edition (Wormrot). My dedicated DAP is the iBasso DX340 w/Amp17 but I want to try the new HiBy RS8 II DAP. As far as analogue vinyl audio goes, I'm trying to slowly phase out but I'm literally an LP addict. I absolutely despise the Focal Utopia 2022 BTW. I also use the Noble Rex5 TWS via UAPP using Android flagship martphones (Rednagic 11S Pro w/ SD8G5/24GB LPDDR5T RAM/1.5 TB Storage/high PPI/RR AMOLED dialysis w/ liquid cooling built-in).
