Haven't done a mail call video in a while, but I got a Commodore 128 from a viewer the other day and figured you all might like to hear a little bit about it, since (IME, at least) it's one of the less-covered 8-bit machines. This video is kinda rough if you ask me because I shot it at home with my awful old Panasonic camcorder (and man, I never quite remember how much I hate that thing until I try to use it) but I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving.

For a peek at my dad showing what a gear shaper is and what used to be run by c64s take a look at this - now run by a windows machine (which is not as reliable) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJhOBUEJigQ

My dad was the master of these machines, able to walk up and type from memory, peek and pokes and puts the machine into some sort of weird mode with coordinates. The c64s ran 24x7 and occasionally when they flaked out he gave them to me to mix and match to get them working again. I used one to create my first crude cable descrambler.

So fun to see my old 128 living on and being used! My dad used c64s for running gear shapers for many years, I think from the mid 80s until the late 90s. He got this but we kept it at home and we primarily just played games on it, it had the 1702 monitor on it and I think 2 drives.
